Announcement: Tariff Reclamation Fee

Altman Lighting has been proactively preparing for new tariffs being implemented by our government. To maintain our dexterity during these dynamic market conditions, Altman Lighting will institute a Tariff Reclamation Fee as a separate line item on applicable orders. We will not increase fixture prices across the board to cover this expense. Instead, Altman will calculate the impact of these tariffs per fixture type based on the country of origin in keeping with Altman Lighting’s philosophy of exceptional value at a fair price. Through all of these changes, Altman pledges to keep “Bringing Imagination to Light”, and providing you with the affordable Families of Products that you want and need.

Update: March 5, 2025:

On March 4th the White House imposed a 10% increase in tariffs on goods from China and levied a 25% tariff on goods brought in from Canada and Mexico, our North American neighbors. Due to the severe level of these tariffs, we at Altman are forced to add a second layer of tariff reclamation fees to our products that have components originating in these countries. We do not impose these tariffs lightly. We are including them as separate line items in your quotes and orders so we can be as agile and fluid as this ever-changing situation is proving to be, and we appreciate your patience in these difficult times
